I venture there every so often. You don't even hear English spoken, let alone see any white people. Mind you, it's pretty Chinese where I live - however the Indians are starting to move in.
the AU-US defence agreement doesnt mean shit. supposedly if we get attacked the us will be boots on ground within 24 hours. im sure theres a specific name for the treaty but i forget.
what it doesnt say is that this will probably only happen when the US and China have made an agreement to divide up the country between them. the outcome would be pre-determined before china actually attacked.
the real issue for both countries is trying to make sure the other side is to blame.
