Good show except for the casting of "miracle girls" and "magic negroes". In a freelance-pirate-wild-west-space-frontier scenario, you won't find a black female XO cooperating with a White captain, a smart female engineer to keep the ship running, and a wise black preacher who knows more than anyone else. ...And a space slut couldn't afford the berth.
The nigress pilot had a White husband too. And THE miracle girl was the doctor's sister who was a genius and had great fighting abilities because of some "experiments" or whatever. Joss whedon is a gigantic beta simp, and this show was proof.

Space, Above & Beyond is a close second.
