It does not. The men of northern europe were exceedingly tall long before money or even farming. They evolved to be large by the upper paleolithic due to Bergmanns rule or perhaps because they hunt big game. Tropical hunter gatherers tend to be much smaller.


The pre-roman pre-indoeuropean people of south europe were short and populous. The Latin speaking tribes that conquered them came from northern europe and were presumably bigger and fairer with ligher hair and eyes. So there would have been a diversity of height, hair, eye, skin color and may have had class associations.
