What brand of old CRT TV/VCR combo should I buy for my sons to grow up using?

I'm not going to list brands as a poll, there are too many too list, and I'd rather hear the brand you remember having and enjoying. I had a 13" in college I would hook my NES up to, to play Dr. Mario and Duck Hunt all night. I just can't seem to remember the brand though...

Take them fishing and get them used to being outside.

Don't jew them by using TV as a pacifier.

They'll thank you later for teaching them useful skills they wouldn't have otherwise learned while watching the electric jew.

We live on a farm, down by the river, in a veritable bird sanctuary. We're maxed out on being outside type stuff. So, don't worry about it.

Kids need to learn about technology, and it's history, in such a way that it stimulates perspective and appreciation for modern tech.

I'm getting a landline too, with a wall mounted phone in the kitchen, on a long curly wire that stretches to the sofa in the livingroom.
