New Haven press

That and New Ark not "newerk" were both cities founded by Christians as new places of safety to escape the crown and the pope.

Haven. And ark. Get it?

Yale was also founded as a Christian college by William Pierson preacher.

How far it has fallen.

Those old books are priceless. History is being rewritten and changed at a rapid pace.

Download as many as you can from Gutenberg.org and archive.org before they change them

Definitely. Part of the reason I started collecting them at the second hand shop I worked at.

How do those hebrew characters translate?

Interesting I hadn't noticed that at first. I'll have to find out.

Neat. What is the oldest book in your collection?

[ - ] __47__ [op] 1 point 2 monthsMar 29, 2025 19:53:23 ago (+1/-0)

Thanks. I have a very old non copyrighted Bible in a text that I don't know and everyone I've asked doesn't know.

What do you consider very old?
I have an old Bible from 1874.
But the oldest books we have in our family collection are from 1671, a German travel guide.
And the oldest is from 1612, an atlas.

1800s generally. I didn't have access much to older than that stuff where I worked.

That's awesome goat!
