In this book Marx's idea of democracy comes across as most just - though not in how it was implemented in communist regimes. But in his schema the majority, the working class, the producers, rule. It is very utilitarian.

In reality though democracy of any kind is just another kind of authoritarianism.

The difference between a one party state and a two party state is one extra party. And the 'party state' is the key. YOU don't run anything. And if the party you vote for loses 51-49 you democratically get to have laws imposed on you by the party you didn't vote for. Not that you have the option to opt out of such laws even if the party you vote for wins of course...

Marx's idea of democracy

Dēmos (common people) + kratos (strength)...it's common consent given to Marx's singular suggestion of idealism, which tricks the strength of a common people to willingly abdicate itself to a single person.

Consenting to suggested idealism implies ones free will of choice to hold onto an idea/idol...a self imposed death penalty. Reasoning among the common people about why that is vs isn't so...keeps the living occupied fighting each other while dying.

It is very utilitarian. In reality though...

Before one can be utilized...ONE came into being as a unit. Few suggest fiction (utilitarian) to distract a collectivized many to ignore reality (unitarian).

democracy of any kind

Dēmos (together with) contradicts kind (apart from). Perpetuation of kind/kin implies separation (off-spring) of kratos (strength), hence giving birth weakening the mother.

authoritarianism

Ones consent to a suggested -ism subjects oneself; while authorizing another.

the difference between...one and two.

One implies differentiated from one another. Two implies ones ignorance of being differentiated from one another, by artificially counting together what nature sets apart.

If one counts; then one permits others to hold one accountable. Why? Because anything above or below ONE implies another ONE.

you have the option to opt out

Option implies "action of choosing"...being implies choice (perception) within action (perceivable), hence allowing each one a different perspective to react to. Others tempt one to ignore that by the use of options (suggestion).

party

Joining a party (plural) tempts one to ignore being a part (singular) within whole, hence apart from one another.

to opt out of such laws

There can be only one law...natural L(and) A(ir) W(ater) forwarding each being within from inception towards death. Laws implies a suggested pluralism tempting a common people to follow a selected few, hence a commonwealth under a sovereign, which is an inversion of nature, which moves value (perceivable) through each ones evaluation (perception).

In this book...

...the sight of each reader confines itself in-between covers. Blinders.
