How Does Trump Benefit From Tarrifs If It Isn't Just An Attempt To Right The Ship?

submitted by FreeinTX to AskUpgoat 3 weeksApr 4, 2025 14:20:30 ago (+1/-0)     (AskUpgoat)

The people who opposed Elon suggested that he was getting rich off DOGE and working to secure benefits by using DOGE's threat of oversight to secure funding for his projects.

Stupid, but I get it.

So, what's the argument with why Trump is pushing tarrifs? The argument is that tarrifs benefit skilled and semi-skilled labor and American manufacturing. The argument to the contrary is along the lines that tarrifs hurt profits and drive up costs. We see the stock market coming down with the implementation of the tariffs.

So, what is the allegation that is in it for Trump? How does Trump benefit, personally, by implementing tarrifs? If the stock market loses 20%, that hurts Trump's bottom line, not helps it. So, what is the Trump haters giving for the reason Trump is implementing tarrifs?

At this point I think he is working on his legacy, the president who “righted the ship” has a nice ring to it. He is not doing it for self enrichment but for history.

Not only his legacy, but he has the potential for starting a dynasty. If Trump were to change the course of the country and it was seen as a good change, Baron, for example, would have a political future. Don Jr. or Eric may not have much motion, but if their kids were interested, that door would be opened by Trump doing something good.

I just don't get how the left is playing off these tarrifs as a bad thing. Muh stock market? Muh poor billionaires? "We gotta protect Wall Street!"? What the hell?

DAILY RETARD QUESTION ANSWERED

Lol, I know we have to explain this to you every time but lets try again...maybe you'll catch on.

Trump works for other people. NOT YOU, the jews. His job is to make money for THEM. TARRIFFS MAKE MONEY FOR ALL THE KIKES AROUND TRUMP. LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY.
When the stock market rises, kikes make money.
When the stock market goes down, kikes make money.

"The job of the president is not to wield power, but draw attention away from it." - D.A.

How do you spend so much time here and not seem to absorb a thing? I find it harder and harder to believe you can be this stupid...

So. Tarrifs don't "make money for the jews". The opposite of that is true. Sure, fluctuations in the stock market does make some jews richer. But stock markets declining because corporations must pay higher labor rates or tarrifs to offset the cheap labor benefits are not a benefit to jews.

Tarrifs are certainly not making money for the jews around Trump. But go ahead, explain that assertion. Back it up with some proofs or numbers. Again market fluctuations? Yeah, okay, but there are more profitable ways to fluctuate the market that doesn't involve benefitting the American worker, skilled and semi-skilled, at the expense of other jews.

Now, how is this question "banal" as you suggested, and if it's so "retarded" why in the fuck are you answering it?

Stop being a fag, ya dumb nigger.

Trump works for other people. NOT YOU, the jews.

He works for the ranchers, not the cattle. It's the primary requirement of the job.

This shit should have been done a long time ago. We watched china become a monster, while acting like tiny middle east dictators were a world threat. The liberal brainwashing in schools, media, government. Bloated government to the point where we are a bureaucratic republic.

Fuck it. Let's go!

short term:
Tarriffs cause pain at the start (especially since no body was paying attention to the announcement two years ago when he announced) But within months everyone will figure it out and the system will level out.

there will be a mild-mid "recession" (which we're already in BTW) for the next year or maybe two.

Mid Term:
Probably big unemployment (already there, but today's jobs report was positive . oddly enough) )
Stocks reset (massivly currently overvalued bubble)
housing will reset (massively currently overvalued)
Rates reset.
Markets balance back into foundational stability
Fiscal polices rights and start operating in a bit more real-world fassion.

VERY HIGH RISK OF WORLD WAR at this point. (70%) EU, canada, all the side commie countries can't even remotely go into a trade war, regrdless of how tough they are currently talking. History shows, just like the last five times, this ends in a WW.

Long term:
After about 18 months or so and no WW, the US econn starts to rock

Manufacturing is back, there will be some form of federal "rebuild act" like eisenhower's. Cheap labor to rebuild the infrastructure.

It's all just mathz at this point and timing and there is no great magic behind it. Smart folks know this is how the cycle works. details may change a bit, but overall. It's how it's gonna work.

But Short term reset will be painful.

Also might add: 20-50 million illigales leaving over the next 24 months, will have an impact on housing, local taxes for infrastructure systems and jobs markets which will help add to the long term stability of the systems.

As i see it the US economy was on life support being propped up by their never quiet printing machine. If nothing was done the eventual collapse would have been devastating however Trump is making the hard decisions which will benefit the economy in long run. Trump haters are using this as another fear mongering point to attack him.
