I sold my stonks in that timeframe and bought again after they fell. Maybe they will fall more, but big chunk of the loss was avoided. You should have anticipated that and done same.

Here's the thing about the stock market: it's not money. You haven't actually gained or lost anything until you sell what you've bought. Even if you 100% bought in at the peak recently, you're just looking at potential losses if you sold right now. Granted, you'd be looking at bigger gains at some point in the future if you'd bought now than if you bought a few months ago, but on a long enough timescale that's going to be a rounding error.
Now, if you didn't just buy recently, then you definitely haven't lost anything. You're probably looking at tens of thousands in unrealized gains, if your portfolio is currently down thousands from the peak. Don't be one of the panicking sheep, and only sell when you have something productive to spend the money on or you want to diversify. But you appear to have gotten that concept in principle already, if not explicitly.
