Many are familiar with the Italian artist Giovanni Gasparro because of his portrait depicting Jewish religious scholars involved in a blood libel ritual, but for the Christians on here, it's worth beholding some of his many, many other works.

He is especially known for his detailed and evocative depiction of hands and other anatomical features. His glowing portraits of Christ and the Apostles communicate such incredible feeling.

Many "critics" have come to be harshly critical of Giovanni as pedestrian or there such terms. But for those who despair about the present and future of white art and creation, I think his works show incredible optimism and beauty.
