Would ya like to know a buyer for second hand merchandise?

I'm under no NDA. I was their IT guy managing a sever and a fleet of over 40 computers using custom software. No internet available on intranet. I bought everything from toys, novelties, board games, puzzles, old hi fi stuff to modern tablets and phones. I'd look at anything.

What was the strangest item you held onto that you didn’t want to resell?

Well someone brought in a chess set of marvel characters. He had all documents to prove authentication he bought each piece monthly. I could part it out or sell it wholesale. I talked to the manager in charge of the department. No good end for either of us.

Well in a way.

Take tvs for instance. Each model number for a TV is different to discourage price matching. So ebay sells and has sold chips and remotes for that TV but no tv. Shipping is too costly. So I look and find an original best buy listing for $1200 on a 30" 720p 30hhz TV. Not possible to price. So I should charge $700 or do? You're fucking crazy. I talked the hardware guy into simple measurements and if it's smart or not. If the TV exceeds 55" we will dig deeper. Under that flat rate. A 27" TV with 3" bezels. $30 max.

Ebay is more reliable when it comes to sold listings of toys.

I was reaching, I've never had any dealings with Ebay but, thanks for the "heads-up"!

Sold listings are best. You can filter to show you. It's not iron clad but if I price a bit lower than the sold prices the product generally doesn't sit long in inventory. Which inventory when put in limbo costs money. Every second it sits behind the counter is lost profits.
