Let's carefully analyze a specific, easily understood modern-day
scenario that questions the widely accepted belief that the Earth
is a spinning globe...

Nobody is gonna watch your 14 min video.

The atmosphere moves with the planet fuck wit.

Same reason if you flew a mini drone on an airplane it wouldnt smack the back of the plane.

Does it though?

[ - ] observation1 4 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 00:28:45 ago (+4/-0)

If you moved a fish bowl to another room, ever so gently, the fish may not notice it was even moving.

Atmosphere is our fish bowl.

[ - ] Love240 [op] -1 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 00:55:21 ago (+1/-2)

Nothing gentle about ~1000mph @ the equator.

There is no glass... unless there is... The Firmament.

[ - ] observation1 2 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 01:07:47 ago (+2/-0)*

the fishbowl was never stopped moving. You don't need a lid on a fishbowl.

Life is motion. If you zoom in on a stationary rock that is not moving; it is moving.

There is nothing in the world that is stationary.

And it's supposedly changing direction = accelerating, so you would feel it...

[ - ] observation1 1 point 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 07:06:53 ago (+1/-0)

If the direction it is changing is measured in terms of a radius of lightyears, then I wouldn't think so.

Good thing physics doesn't rely on what you think.

[ - ] observation1 0 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 15:02:39 ago (+0/-0)

Do you also imagine a minnow in the Atlantic can feel a kid accelerating his swimming in the Pacific?

[ - ] Love240 [op] 0 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 15:04:26 ago (+0/-0)

You have not demonstrated that the atmos moves with the earth.

The video in question addresses that and shows how that is simply not the case.

Would you like to try again?

At the equator, you also have that velocity.

Imagine being in a car with perfect suspension driving over a perfectly smooth road. You reach 100 mph. You close your eyes. Do you sense that you have a velocity of 100 mph? No. You have to be accelerated (a force has to be applied to you). Your velocity is a property of your physical body that you never sense. What you sense is work done on your body. These other things that physics uses to explain events: velocity, momentum, inertia, etc., are not things you perceive. Your body has physiological systems that respond to physical forces. (Your eyes can inform you about your relative speed indirectly, which is why we closed them here, but even this is mechanical.)

No matter where you are on earth, the velocities you measure for things within your reference frame are all relative. In a town square, if everyone (including you) stopped moving, there was no wind, yada yada, you'd all have the same angular velocity as your exact location on the globe. That includes every atom in the atmosphere.

Being on earth is like being in the car in the example above. Your body isn't physically equipped to perceive the global forces that would behave like bumps on the road. You are physically equipped to perceive a pretty narrow range of local things.

This is not that difficult to understand. The imaginary car...it's moving at the same rate as you, so you'll never sense that it is moving you until it begins to stop, at which point you feel a sensation like your seatbelt is pulling you backward. If you imagined the scenario in which the earth and the atmosphere instantaneously had a velocity of 0, you'd continue moving along the surface at 1,000 mph with the worst case of road rash imaginable (you'd be shaved into deli meat very quickly or turned to mush by colliding with something).

Flat earth is retarded. (How does flat earth explain the possibility of both lunar and solar eclipses without being totally ad hoc? How does flat earth deal with rocks that fall from the sky? Or rocks that float across the sky once every century or more? If they're under the dome, shouldn't this rarity be impossible? It would also be really weird for us to predict these fly-bys with such accuracy.)

yes.

[ - ] UncleDoug 2 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 01:00:52 ago (+3/-1)

Tard240 can't conceptualise objects in 3D.

[ - ] oyveyo 3 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 01:20:30 ago (+3/-0)

Or understand things like inertia and momentum.

[ - ] i_scream_trucks 1 point 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 01:38:03 ago (+1/-0)

and yet somehow 'understands' there is a big pudding bowl over 'the earth' that does... something.

[ - ] Love240 [op] 0 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 03:30:55 ago (+1/-1)

Like how we would feel the inertia and momentum changing direction constantly because the earth is supposedly moving in many directions, but we don't?

[ - ] oyveyo 1 point 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 04:45:52 ago (+1/-0)*

Tell me how it is moving in "many" directions? How are inertia and momentum changing?

It's rotating smoothly 1 revolution per 24hr period, and it's orbiting the sun smoothly at a rate of once every 365.25 days.

You can't perceive it because of the scale and time factors.

What exactly do you expect to feel?

Fuck. You can't reason with flerfers.

There's a balance between gravity and centrifugal force that remains practically constant. The moon causes slight variations over 3 week periods (as does the bias of the sun twice a day). This causes tides. Again; scale and time.

[ - ] Love240 [op] -1 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 05:04:02 ago (+0/-1)

It's supposedly revolving around it's axis and also around the sun (which is supposedly moving) and also around the galaxy (which is supposedly moving).

[ - ] oyveyo 1 point 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 05:26:12 ago (+1/-0)

I just said that and I also just explained why you feel nothing.

[ - ] Love240 [op] 0 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 14:59:38 ago (+0/-0)*

explained away why you feel nothing.

While not actually makings sense and ignoring physics.

[ - ] oyveyo 0 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 15:30:18 ago (+0/-0)*

Ignoring physics? No sir, I'm comprehending physics. Something you seem incapable of.

[ - ] Love240 [op] 0 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 15:32:08 ago (+0/-0)

Clearly, you do not understand physics.

Change of direction = acceleration.

We can measure very minute changes in acceleration using technological devices, but more importantly, our inner-ears are extremely sensitive to such accelerations.

We do not detect such movements, nor do we sense them what-so-ever.

Because they are not happening.

[ - ] oyveyo 0 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 17:08:35 ago (+0/-0)

Imagine a room attached to a spinning arm. The room is tilted inward. This room has no windows. In the middle of this room is a table with a glass of water on it. You are in this room. The room is rotating around an axis at a constant speed.

The glass of water is perfectly still and "level" on that table and you have no idea you are rotating around an axis.

What the fuck are you going to feel that tells you that you are in motion?

The fluid in your ear that tells you about rotation and balance has already synchronized with the constant rotation. You don't feel shit unless the speed changes. The glass of water also has no idea it is spinning.

[ - ] observation1 0 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 16:24:18 ago (+0/-0)*

You say are you a man of science but I believe you apply an excessive devotion to your Good Book, from a translation that you are misunderstanding. And you are uncompromising from that position and therefore cannot be reasoned with.

Let me ask you a strict science question.

Why does the water stick to the edge of the disc in this demonstration?

What physics are at play?

Specifically what is attracting the water to get stuck to the surface as it rotates?

https://youtu.be/watch?v=mNHp8iyyljo&t=4m45s

Answer as if you are teaching a student how physics works.

Now again, briefly explain a whirlpool in 2 sentences, presumably using the same concept. Why does surrounding stationary water soon join up and move in the direction as the the water spiral?

I promise I am not wasting your time.

[ - ] Love240 [op] 0 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 16:46:46 ago (+0/-0)

You say are you a man of science

I'm a man of God.

Science is the study of God's creation.

from a translation that you are misunderstanding.

Implying you understand it or 'a translation' better or more completely.

rando whataboutisms

Unable to address the topic at hand, we get a complete waste of time by the offended party with the promise that it is in fact not a waste of time... typical.

[ - ] observation1 0 points 3 weeksApr 8, 2025 18:38:11 ago (+0/-0)*

You don't know what "whataboutisms" means.

You use that word carelessly like a child runs with a stick and plays with a knife.

If I said this crayon is green like grass. Grass is not a whataboutism.

By your logic, even explaining whataboutism is more "whataboutism"

In this thread you also demand from others an explanation of physics, but when pressed on science, you quickly deny science and revert to God.

As you can see, somebody who manuevers this way can never have a conversation about physics, unless you know the Word of God.

So this is not an exploration of the shape of the planet at all.

This, and you can see this plainly, is really just an exploration of how much you believe the Bible has not been defiled.

Your core belief, your sponsoring thought, rules everything else. And so maybe we should change the subject and you can explain why the bible's translation and understanding is infallible, since thats what you really believe.

yes. but we are all moving with it.

People are happy to live in blissful ignorance, afraid to re-examine the claims they were taught in jewish academia and promoted over jewish news media.

The jews push globetardism. The jew won world war 2, fakes a holocaust and claimed to kidnap nazi scientists and went to the moon. Its all fake.

The jew controls the media and the governments of all nations on Earth, brainwashing billions into believing we are on a ball, but retards here believe they promote flat earth.

People are waking up to the truth so the jews do what they do best, prop up fake control opposition. These are the fake flat earthers pushing a pizza flying through space or an edge that people can fall off.

True wisdom is knowing that you know nothing. Everything you have been taught has been planned and orchestrated by jews. Start from scratch. Level = flat, not a curve. No matter the scale.

When people speak the truth to people who think they know the truth, they seem crazy. I used to mock flat earthers like anyone else here. I use to mock them while claiming my faith in authority figures who tell us that Earth is a ball and show us images of Earth as a perfect ball is superior to common sense and natural science.

Up is up, down is down. On a ball its all "relative" we live in a topsy turvy clown world because people dont understand the fundamental basics of where we are, what the Earth is; a perfectly designed enclosed system that can never happen by chance.
