They're mostly of Norwegian stock, and somehow those guys never got the "fight mercilessly when threatened" gene the Danes, Dutch and Anglos got. Swedes are a mixed bag depending on which side of the fjord they're from.

But seriously, take one look at the news from Oslo. Their cops are being stabbed and even shot in the streets daily when they're just politely telling the "syrians" to stop burning things / stealing things / raping women right in public, and they still generally oppose arming police with anything more dangerous than pepper spray. To say nothing of allowing the general public to defend themselves (in their own homes) with anything other than stern words.
