I'm with you. It's undrinkable and reminds me of cough syrup. When I used to drink, I preferred Barenjager, which is a honey liqueur.

Ive had to give up that shit too.

Food is a formidible addiction that works very similarly to booze and drugs. But I waited a year or two after quitting booze to really tackle the eating problem.

Interestingly, the sugar free Red Bull prevented me from losing weight so I had to omit it.

I wish I could drink energy drinks without being afflicted.

Planning to ween down this month. Then when the school semester ends, face the withdrawal. Getting sick of the cyclical nature of ups and downs.

Good plan. Its been 2 or 3 years since I quit caff. Mornings are so pleasant and relaxed now. Took me maybe 3 months to ween down to zero. Then there was an additional couple of months when I was dragging my ass/ sleepy during the day. Also I had a temporary constipation problem during withdrawal. Hope thats not TMI. Best of luck. 🍀
