The bible keeps changing its agenda making it seem as though god is schizophrenic or bipolar. I guess dispensationalism is an attempt to explain that away.
Thats not why the bible seems schizophrenic. It was a tool of political propaganda and the politics kept changing so the voice of the creator kept changing to suit the political agenda of the day. No reason to think schizophrenia is high in ancient jewish population because its high in ashkenazis
