The battery compartment seemed to survive based on no huge fire. It would be interesting to see if the tesla can still run. Depending on where the electronic controls are, the workable parts seem to be untouched (battery, electric motors in the wheels, etc).

Guy can't be a WW2 vet.
He isn't old enough. Would have to be 100 or more. To be 18 in 1945 at the last possible time to join the military you would have had to be born in 1927?

And frankly they weren't taking in lots of new solders by then since Germany was done and the a bombs were being dropped on Japan and it was winding down.
