Every second time I call a government number it's now just "sorry, too many people calling, we can't take your call" and then they hang up.

I am proud to be able to say I have NEVER had to call them... for myself. However, dealing with my retarded family and such, specially when I have administration over one of them on a pension... it's disastrous. For a welfare state they make it hard.

I've never met anyone who works at the ATO. Its always letters.

But yeah, I was trying to contact the ATO again.

I tried getting government assistance because they changed the thresholds and I am getting less work.

But I am White.

It has been over 45 days - the maximum they state for claims to be processed - and my claim is still "in process".

It takes 6 hours on hold to speak with a phone representative - they do not offer e-mail or other webform helpdesk support, and definitely no chat - only to be told that... it is in process.

I know damned well it is because I am White and a citizen (and male and straight).

i'm in the same boat. if you have no dependents here in franklin county ohio all you are eligible for are food stamps. they cahnged log in formatting and for months i could not either log in or access messages. i sent my assigned district building 8 times and the state attorney general about it. eventually some one from the office called me. she basically scolded me for contacting the AG and said they were having problems since the new log in process. calling that office is a good long wait. almost all the various agencies are call only. just to get a message to be put on a call back list or wait. the last time i was in that building it was all black or muslim staffed mostly woman. that was about a decade ago. all i wanted was one-time cash relief $650 dollars but i did not qualify. i'm convinced it is fixed against single straight white christian males. everything is. the jesuit war on the reformation goes on.

Craziest thing happened. I called the state IRS and they picked up and helped me with my problem.
