I saw the trailer for MI8 the other day. It made me think: for as wacky as the Scientology stuff is, over the years Tom Cruise has managed to be really quiet politically (a non-asshole), and the brief commentary he has made on society, e.g., the harm of psychiatry, has been pretty based. If anything, it's just a sign to me that being connected to a smaller community that insulates you from the effects of mass media is a legitimate survival strategy in the 21st century (and probably in the past as well). Religions have their downfalls, but generally approaching mass-anything with skepticism is not one of them, and to the extent that any religion is not opposed to the prevailing moral ideologies of globalist cosmopolitan types, we should be wary of it.

The reviews for the latest mission impossible without right now are really really good. And their reviews from people who are real and not stupid Hollywood reviewers. I think I'm probably going to get my ass in a theater and go see it. That may be the only movie I see all year.

Theaters demanded the mask.

No shit. I may have to check it out, too.

Like all franchises, I think it has declined since the first installment, but a lot less than most. The "secret agent gets himself into a new mess" scheme holds up just about as well as slasher horror since it requires only minimal continuity between films.

Nah he was a Covid nut and threatened to punch a guy not wearing a mask on set.

[ - ] CHIRO 1 point 1 dayMay 22, 2025 13:40:11 ago (+1/-0)

If true, that would be disappointing, but also not super surprising.

In Tom's defense i think he was trying to avoid getting the project shut down since so many workers would be impacted

Yes, Scientology is nuts but so is every religion when viewed in a certain light.

Tom Cruise is probably the closer thing we'll get to superhuman. I feel like the guy could be put into any situation or compete against any average person in anything from rock climbing to chess and he will win. I've known guys that hate losing and don't give up but he's beyond that.

He's also a genuinely good person from the stories I heard. He was in a movie being filmed on a campus where I was taking classes and while I never saw him, he bought a shit ton of pizza for the crew and everyone working on it. He could be a huge asshole and his life wouldn't change but he seems to be a good guy.

Tom cruise is literally a homosexual and Scientologist.

[ - ] Crackinjokes [op] 4 points 1 dayMay 22, 2025 12:17:49 ago (+4/-0)

Well definitely a scientologist. Giving giving his anti-hollywood stance on so many things and the fact that p Diddy and all the other people that really were homosexuals that never nobody ever said we're homosexuals I really kind of wonder if maybe they only let you think that the people they don't like are homosexuals like Tom cruise.

As to whether or not he really is I honestly don't really care too much because he's not out there preaching it. And if he was he'd be one of the only ones that start out there preaching it. But honestly I don't believe that you can believe or any of us can believe any of those kind of rumors coming out of Hollywood.

As for his Scientology well if it works for him I really don't care.

When there's a vehicle collision with injuries or death, a scientologist is the only one who can help. - Tom

I liked Vanilla Sky

Almost every one of Tom Cruise's movies has been very good. In fact the only one I can think of it wasn't good was the one where he played that kind of weird gnome in the forest.

And many of his movies have been Pinnacle classics of their decade like risky business and Top gun and the second Top gun and many others.

That was his best stuff look

Not really a Tom Cruise fan, but yeah, I liked that one myself. In fact I even saw the original Spanish movie it was a remake of - "Abre los Ojos" (Open your Eyes) and liked that one too. Not sure which one I prefer better - probably the TC version. Penelope Cruz is in both movies, BTW.

Edge of Tomorrow was superb.

The good- Self-made and successful White Man overcoming dyslexia or whatever before. Shitty actor but made millions by running and being hyperactive. Made many children with a string of competent White Women. No splash stories on record except for that Oprah mating display. Did not age at all and thus had a decent game plan for life or incapable of self-reflection. Success through sheer hard work and self determination. Pilot with toys is not a small feat. Good athlete even later in life. Takes no shit. Scares jew Producers and the IRS alike. Not on the Epstein flight list. No psych meds. Self conditioning training. All that. All his films were enjoyable.

The bad- Belonged much of his life to a pyramid tax-dodge cult which preyed on members. Sure the religion is based on nonsense stories. Sure they had gated compound prisons where some people disappeared. One of the co-founder's wife supposedly disappeared. He supposedly left after that. The members were reported pure psychos. I was fucked over by one.

The ugly- TBD

I have no beef with Tom Cruise

[ - ] BulletStopper 1 point 1 dayMay 22, 2025 11:59:42 ago (+1/-0)

How many school shootings later until we finally say Tom Cruise was right?

But that would also mean that the (((media))) would have to point out that "psychiatry" was thought up by jews and how much Big Pharma makes off of psycho-active drugs that don't actually cure anything. Not gonna happen.

I just watched American Made for the first time. It's not the first Tom Cruise movie that I like. I am annoyed that he is mocking Christ with his Scientology stupidity, but I like Cruise and his films.

[ - ] AmazingFlightLizard 0 points 20 hoursMay 22, 2025 19:53:52 ago (+0/-0)

Pretty sure the Scientology thing started as a tax shelter, then grew into a really big multi-level-marketing scam.

You get the occasional True Believers but those weirdos will never rise high enough in rank to matter, anyway.

[ - ] allAheadFull 0 points 23 hoursMay 22, 2025 17:48:42 ago (+0/-0)

To be fair, lots of other people said the same thing without pushing the belief in volcano ghosts.

[ - ] Master_Foo 0 points 1 dayMay 22, 2025 16:33:05 ago (+1/-1)

The only thing that counts about being correct is being consistently correct.
Tom was accidentally correct because his cult has to fill the same niche that legitimate medicine would fill, so they have to malign it in order to redirect those funds into the cult.

Being accidentally correct because you are a scam artist doesn't count.

Psychology is based on the society it's working in. All psychiatrists do is try to mold you back into the norm. If the norm is fucked they will try to fuck you.

Of course they are also in it for their own self interests. They don't want to just fix you and send you on your way, losing that check each session. They will even encourage their easily manipulated clients to bring in more clients to them.

Idk how much Tommy cruise knows but I wanna know what his secret to staying young is. He probably stays far away from cats. Cats are notorious for their life draining properties.

[ - ] Master_Foo 0 points 1 dayMay 22, 2025 16:38:17 ago (+0/-0)

Tom's secret to staying young is a contract demanding his face be CGI edited to match what he looked like 20 years ago.

[ - ] DivineLight2 0 points 1 dayMay 22, 2025 15:09:43 ago (+0/-0)

It's impressive he still does those stunts at his age.

I sometimes wonder if he uses Scientology as a way to avoid interacting with kikes. That's why occasionally media portrays him negatively (blatant homosexual in family guy/south Park and baby sized midget in family guy and I'm sure there's more).

Then we find more and more proof of the rampant homosexual parties in hollyjewd.
