Years ago, this bourgeois Mormon libertarian law student I knew, citing Dinesh D'Souza's 90s book 'The End of Racism' - dismissed Metzger with the snobbish throwaway that he was a "TV repairman".
It is true Metzger owned a TV repair business. Which in Marxist parlance would make him petit-bourgeois. A shopkeeper. Like Stalin's family.
Both D'Souza and the lawyer wannabe were citing this stuff to dismiss racism as a social force anymore.
Recently though Spencer Sunshine said the obvious - Metzger was actually a pretty profound thinker.
Funny that it takes antifa to recognize what right-wingers disparaged.
It's not surprising the left would find any value in Metzger, he espoused leftish working class type rhetoric. While I'm the only person I can think of that even mentions Tsunami Tommy (he revised his Terrible Tommy nick to Tsunami Tommy after the major tsunami in East Asia killed and wiped out millions of southeast Asian people). While I did get alot of useful info, especially regards to survival strategies in his Aryan updates radio at his resist website, there was alot to critisize him for as well, and not just the classist smear of being a 'TV repairman'.
He was basically sued by Morris Dees and the SPLC for some stupid thing he did and this was way back in the 80's I think. The settlement was so huge his whole organization and radio show and merchandize store was just a money funnel straight to the SPLC and Morris Dees' faggot ass. So every time you purchased a t-shirt from Metzger you were helping him stay out of jail by funding his court settlement repayment for life.
He would never disclose this obvious fact. That's a pretty big fucking problem right there.
Another major issue with Metzger was his going to Black Panther meetings and praising Elijah Mohammed - even though it was part of his mandatory community service to avoid jail - it was still kind of wild for this former KKK leader go to Black Panther meetings. He was just too extreme to ever be acceptable in any form by respectable bourgeois society. I don't want to say he was too low class, but he really was. No formal education. Just some former Army grunt repairing TVs in Fullerton, California. Not exactly a titan intellectual. But he was honest in his racism. He readily admitted he was racist. I loved his racist cartoons on his website though.
Also that ridiculous fight he got into on the Geraldo Rivera show with his son. It was like a Trailer Park white trash special. It was like pre-Jerry Springer Jerry Springer tier white trash shit. I think it started because he called some nigger Uncle Tom or something. Metzger was as much an intellectual as Irv Rubin of the Jewish Defense League. A couple of racist meatheads.
