That's not the only solar collector in the California desert. They're all over the place, and they're a blight. I noticed there's an unidentified golf course in the middle of nowhere next to I15. Very strange. I guess that's where part of that federal grant money went.

The correct pronunciation of course is "tor-tuss". It's accepted by both American and British speakers. I'd really like to know why in literally every Discworld audio book I've listened to the reader pronounces it as "tor-toyse". It's incredibly distracting.
