Seriously man. I don’t understand the normie. I have never been forced an ad even. Every few months a few vids will hang up upon loading like it was attempting to force an ad, then the vid just starts. Furthermore, if you use brave on your phone, you can set it up to allow video playback with the screen off, a feature normally available with (((premium))). Makes it great for listening to podcasts and longform vids while working, or even for playing music if that’s your thing.

Playing albums on the sailfoam with the screen turned off is such a nice feature.

Why anyone tolerates the app is amazing to me.

I use YouTube to collect new music, which I rip to mp3. Out of the 400 songs I pulled out of YouTube, I think I had maybe 10 ads total sneak through.

Granted, that wasn't on a Brave browser now that I'm thinking about it...Ad Block and Firefox.

I use Brave exclusively for YouTube, and have absolutely no issues. How long that will last is anybody's guess, though.

I'm going to get a cheap laptop just for adfree youtube on tv. Is there a better way than that?

A desktop with a graphics card is better but only a little. I have an old laptop for travel. Brave on TV is awesome.

All my remaining “tvs” have been converted to a monitor attached to a pc. Been using brave for years to watch whatever it is that needs to be watched. No streaming services. I find it elsewhere if it must be watched.
