Well, if you take what I said strictly literally (and it should be obvious you shouldn't even by my liberation rhetoric), then yeah - but think about it: the US was fighting Italians that needed German assistance because they were struggling with Greeks. That's barely a fight. This is a country that lost a war to Ethiopia.
Where the US makes out is where Stalin said US material assistance helped the USSR win the war. But make no mistake: Russia was taking on the full might of the German juggernaut. The US just stood back and watched Russia bleed.
By that time the Nazis were outnumbered 4-1 on the Eastern Front. Sure bet the Allies would have lost in the west without the Soviet Union in the east.
