I'm moving Monday, putting all my stuff in a storage unit. I don't want to be in Milwaukee anymore. I need to spread my wings and GTFO of here. I'm sick of it here.
My soul is telling me to move out West, yet doesn't have a specific destination.

If you were in your 40s with no kids, no job, no car, where would you move to? And don't say Vegas because I've been there and did that YEARS ago and it was a big mistake.

You would think so, but according to the 2020 census, Utah is ranked number 18 with non-spic White being 75% of the population. The top ten Whitest states are Maine, West Virginia, Vermont, New Hampshire, Montana, Iowa, North Dakota, Wyoming, Kentucky, and South Dakota.

Utah is a gorgeous state though with lots of space. The Mormons are pretty retarded but they also bring some good things to the table.

Yes and no. I want to move far away from her, yet I also want her to be a mother and comfort me like she should. Got a buddy who left LA to raise a large family in the country in Idaho. Still, without a van or place to sleep, this sounds like a huge challenge.

Figure out a town then familiarize yourself with the homeless shelters. You really do doubt yourself a lot and that’s thanks to the abuse growing up. However, when we put our backs against the wall, we begin to take bigger risks and work unimaginably hard to escape disparity.

You need to be completely broken down and to rebuild yourself. Being homeless will make you appreciate your blessings more and change your perspective. And you’re never going to find this newfound perspective in shithole Milwaukee. The fact that you have no kids and no car in your 40s a testament to the way you’ve been running your life and how it is not working.

I would never buy new and the RV market is supposedly tumbling to scorched earth right now so it might be a good time. Those scamps and trendy tear drop trailers are not cheap, you'd have to find someone who just got tired of it or that needed work for it to be worth it.

To me, it would have to be money I was just planning on burning because I know I'd never be able to sell it without a huge loss.

Well, hard to say without knowing you. My favorite parts in the west are the quiet towns of Northern California like Crescent City.

BUT. Hard to find jobs.

Salt Lake has temp agencies and you can find work quickly.

If you were a plumber or an electrician, I'd have different advice for you.

If you were a paralegal, I'd have different advice for you.

If you can hunt and clean your own food, I'd have different advice for you.

For example, Alaska is ultimate quiet place getaway if you can stand the cold.

New Zealand, you can live off the land and just overstay your tourist visa. Fish, lobster, scallops, pig, deer, feral sheep, etc.
