Hypersonic missiles generate small amounts of plasma at the front of the cone. You can actually listen to it on any decent setup. This plasma generates radio frequencies in the HF and VHF range, and with a two antenna setup determine vector (speed and angle) based on the doppler shift of these transmissions, which also distinguishes them from background unidirectional transmissions.
This is far faster, and has better range than even over-the-horizon radar.
By implementing this, something trivially possible at any standard chip fab, one half of the problem of hypersonics is solved.
I also have multiple designs for interceptors that are effective against hypersonics which will be provided, along with the metallurgical innovations for them, if austin metcalf's murderer is tried and the trial is publicly broadcast on fox, cnn, msnbc, and live on the front page of youtube.
