I have read his two latest books and they are a great reminder about the hard lessons on life and spirituality. He does a great job reminding the reader about biblical lessons that still apply today.
I’ve been there bro. More then a decade of drinking right after work until I fall asleep. Wake up at 3am with a super dry mouth needing to piss, whispering to myself that I need to cut back a bit. The truth was that I needed to quit completely.
So many little things Missing out on because I was scheduling my time around my drinking. Always making excuses at family events as to why I needed to run to the gas station and sneak a few more drinks. Freedom was an illusion. I was a slave to the sense of detachment alcohol provided me. This detachment would not allow me to confront personal failures.
One day I started drinking a half gallon of water in the morning to feel full and let it take me as far as possible. I drove right by the gas station I once visited everyday and never looked back. Took some sleeping pills and went to bed at 9pm every night. It took a little over a month to really feel better. I was now able to focus on developing skills that I am proud of. It is worth the effort to quit.
Older co-worker tried a fist bump with me and I looked him in the eye and said "handshakes like a good European man". He gave me a knowing smile and gave me a firm handshake.
I recently viewed a twitch clip of a young woman struggling with a video game un-ironically say "he thinks he owns my body. I am a sex worker who does not need his shit. I can make it on my own."
The box article says that plots of land are being sold. I want to know how they get around openly discriminating against other races, because I want to lean how to do it.
The Supreme Court should examine the loss of freedom of association when it comes to sales.
