In fact most people think the dogs are coming in for a happy pet and actually will lean down and put their face next to the dog. (DO NOT EVER DO THIS WITH A DOG OR PITPBULL!!!!!) No eye level contact with a strange dog, ever!!!!!
Also, while its not true a PB jaw will "lock" It is true that once their adrenals are up, they do not stop. There is nothing that stops the attack. Hitting them, smashing them with brooms or shovels. Police night sticks, Tasers, pepper spray are all 100% ineffective.
A knife is around 50% effective. Shooting them in the spin is really the only way to stop the attack. Even shooting them in the head or side doesn't always do the trick.
You have to immediately use massive force against these dogs once their blood is up or nothing stops them. They are designed/bred to fight harder and go nuts as more pain and body damage is inflicted. They are fighting/war dogs. This is how they work.
