This woman has to have the lowest status a woman can have and you can already see that she thinks she can land Chad. I didn't know her newfound entitled demeanor was because she had a "controlling bf" until someone there randomly brought it up. I thought of this when I was thinking about how as years pass you notice patterns and start opting out of certain behaviors or optimize ways to bypass old activities for more efficient ones. I was one to avoid most trends when I was younger, but I participated in ones that made sense, and usually only if I was only by happenstance part of the trend. So I, for one, did do what I'm suggesting above, however I do recall behaviors I had where I was the product of my environment, as we all are to some extent, and I had that feeling of "omg i can't believe i did that", but there was really no way around it unless I chose to be a blank slate with no personality or something on that order.

What do y'all think? Are younger people seeing patterns as environmental constraints, in that they avoid negative, popular social behaviors? Or are they falling pray to them as a social constraint that they are compelled to conform with?
