Looks like an outstanding list. I've seen a few of these, and generally prefer foreign films from that era over modern Hollywood garbage. One sleeper I can recommend offhand is "Hell or High Water". Great heist/caper film in a modern Western format. Highly recommended.
I'll have to blow the dust off of Banco and finally give it a read.
I've read Fric-Frac; got turned on to it watching Matt Bracken talking about it. Great (true) story. Not an easy book to get at a reasonable price since it's out of print, unfortunately.
I eat it every so often when I get in the mood. I like very spicy food, so I try to get the most spicy and garlic heavy brand I can find. Not sure what the options are in your area. Kimchi is fermented like sauerkraut, but can be heavily spiced, and is a Korean side dish, not Japanese, BTW.
If I'm not mistaken, the second time he comes back and engages the cop, the cop did attempt to tase him but it didn't work. He was too hyped up on Jenkem or whatever.
Update: Sad news guys, apparently they all landed safe and sound. Was hoping these sleazy whores would go out in a beautiful, firey zenith upon reentry, but alas, it was not to be. Damn.
Addendum: on further thought, I'm not even sure if if they even reached orbit - seems to have been a short flight with just enough altitude to briefly achieve weightlessness. Pfft...
Gave that vid a gander, and that singer is absolutely, unquestionably, 100.10% a dude. Started off watching on mute, didn't even have to hear his voice to tell that.
That there was any confusion over this in anybody's mind is totally insane.
I believe this was a German reporter(?) who was recently sentenced to prison for this meme which was calling out a German politician who was curtailing local speech (criticism of Islam). The original meme was in German, this one has had the message translated.
Edit: got my facts turned around. The woman is the German politician who has been clamping down on critical speech and is trying - and I believe actually did - get the reporter who created this meme sentenced to prison.
Yes, I still see people wearing them. Mostly elderly people, which doesn't bother me that bad, but I do occasionally see young, fit people walking around out in the open or driving in their cars with their windows up with them on.
About a year ago I was walking on a trail, and a young, fit, athletic man jogged past me wearing a surgical mask, furiously huffing and puffing on it as he ran past me. Literally had to collect myself mentally after witnessing that...

There's a sequel to 'Papillon' called 'Banco'. Supposed to be good, but never have got around to reading it.

Kinda gives off that 'staged' vibe, but hilarious if true.

It is. Canada is the source of the vast majority of illiterate foreign drivers in the United States.

Got some crazy names on that list as expected, but "William “Meat-Meat” James" really stood out to me.
William “Meat-Meat” James?!! 😂

Those incorrigible youngsters! When will they ever learn? A trip to the woodshed wouldn't do those boys any harm.

Works fine if I'm on my home Wi-Fi, but not if I'm on my carrier network. I have to resort to editing then.
