I've had a pepper grinder (or at least I think it is) in the cupboard for many years and be damned if the thing wouldn't grind peppercorns. Today I decided to have a close look at it before throwing it out and the peppercorns are too big to fall into the grinder mechanism and then I had a light-bulb moment and thought ...maybe there are extra fine peppercorns and I discovered "cracked pepper". So I'll give that a try but it seems odd to need to use a grinder to grind already partly ground pepper ffs! Clearly I'm missing something? maybe it's a salt grinder?

https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/256281/homemade-roasted-peanut-butter/

This recipe makes a wonderful peanut butter that's more satisfying to eat than anything from the store. The recipe specifies using raw peanuts, but you can buy roasted peanuts to save yourself time.

- Prep Time: 10 mins
- Cook Time: 6 mins
- Total Time: 16 mins
- Servings: 12
- Yield: 1 ½ cup

Ingredients

- 2 cups shelled raw peanuts
- 1 ½ teaspoons peanut oil
- ½ teaspoon white sugar
- ⅛ teaspoon salt

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spread peanuts on a rimmed baking sheet.
2. Bake peanuts, stirring every 2 minutes, until golden brown and fragrant, 6 to 8 minutes.
3. Combine peanuts, peanut oil, sugar, and salt in a food processor fitted with a metal blade; process until peanuts are chopped and the mixture forms a ball, about 2 minutes. Scrape down the food processor bowl; continue processing to desired consistency, 1 to 3 minutes more.

Cooking Talk with Dangus     (Cooking)

Hi dangus. How you been? Oh, sorry to hear that.If you weren't overweight you might be able to balance better. Trite to say but...balance is important to cycling.

Anyway...what I wanted to ask you is how do you think people cook raw green beans?
Me and the missus couldn't figure out why people, except me, would buy green beans unless they were super health conscious or had a way of cooking them that made eating them a delight.

As you know, dangus, I have a difficult digestive system and I need to eat "greens" so I don't "jam up". Your advice in the past, while appreciated, has not been helpful i.e.KYS!

So I eat green beans not because I find them tasty but because they are very good at keeping me regular. When I buy them at the shop their container is often only half full which suggests other folk buy them too but...why? I doubt it's because they have tricky digestive systems too and I doubt they are vegetarians like me. My town is a struggle-town where, I'd imagine, folk would be meat-eaters (Southern Boys). Don't get me wrong...I'm impressed that folk here eat green beans. I'm just perplexed at the phenomenon as I wouldn't have expected it. The missus reckons they probably boil the beans and eat them with a salad but that's a lot of messing about. I said: "dangus would know"!

The pics are of my main meal which I prepare in my "camp kitchen" under the verandah.
Here is a description of my diet fyi:

In one big bowl (microwaved):

fresh green beans (handful)
tin of chilli beans
tiny vegetable-filled pastries (junk food)
half a spoon of kimchi (a fancy name for Sauerkraut)
a few sun-dried tomato strips
garlic chives/onion
snow peas
potato pieces (if available (from Her Majesty's table)
pasta (if available...)
rice (if available...)
pepper
olive oil

Supplemented during the day by:

Toast and marmalade etc
handful of cashew nuts
coffee
four pieces of licorice.

First time I tried this one and I must say, it turned out very well.

Paired with a nice bottle of Nero d'Avola (due to the spiciness)

Enjoy. Life is too short and miserable already to suffer it by eating bad food. Living well is the very best revenge.

HOW TO MAKE A MrBEAST BURGER
______________________________________________________________

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 2 - 3.5oz balls of ground beef (or as many as you need)
- Diced onions
- Sliced dill pickles
- Postal Barbecue Original & Mad Cow Rub
- American Style Cheese
- 1 Brioche Buns (or as many as you need)
- Mayo
- Ketchup
- Brown Mustard

STEP #1
To prepare your MrBeast Burgers, begin by dicing your onions into small pieces. Next slice your pickles if needed and form your ground beef into 3.5-4oz balls. Once everything has been prepared and you are ready to cook, turn on your griddle and let it preheat for a few minutes. We are looking for a griddle temperature around 400 to help get a nice crust on the burgers.

SETP #2
With your Griddle heated, place your balls of beef on the griddle and let them warm slightly before smashing them down on the griddle until they are as thin you prefer. Next, add the burger seasoning of your choice and let them cook for a few minutes until the bottom has formed a nice brown crust. During this time, also add your buns to the griddle to allow them to toast. After a couple of minutes your burgers should have a nice crust formed. At this point, flip the burgers and apply your American style cheese so that the cheese begins to melt.

STEP#3
After a few minutes, your cheese will be melted so remove them from the hot zone to the warm zone while you start to build your burgers.. On this burger start out with your toasted bun followed but a little bit of mayo. Next add on your diced onions, as well as your dill pickles. Next, place both burger patty's on top of the bottom bun. On the top bun add a little bit of ketchup and lastly some brown mustard. Crown it with your top bun and you are ready to eat!

That's it..
