The chief executives of Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. WBD, -5.66% and Paramount Global PARA, -2.02% met on Tuesday to talk about a potential merger, a move that would further consolidate an entertainment and streaming industry searching for stronger profitability.

The two executives — David Zaslav (was born into a Jewish family) at Warner and Bob Bakish (a native of New Jersey) at Paramount — met for several hours in Paramount’s headquarters in Times Square.

Second time was not the charm.

MacKenzie Scott filed for divorce from her second husband, Dan Jewett, on Monday after less than two years of marriage.

According to documents obtained by the New York Times, Jewett did not contest the divorce and the division of property has already been determined in a prenuptial agreement.
