My neighbors cut down some bushes in their front yard. I suspected that one of them was an azalea, and now a couple of weeks later I see its corpse on the side of the road, blooming... It WAS an azalea!!
It was a huge plant, too big for me to move and a lot of it looked dead since it's been uprooted for so long. Some of the tips were still pliable though, so I went back and cut off about 15 cuttings or so.
I have never had any real luck with rooting cuttings but I felt like I had to say least try to save this beautiful plant. I can go back tomorrow and get more cuttings if I didn't cut them right. Any advice anyone can give will be appreciated!!
