I started playing the game rust 3 weeks ago

My neighbour from across the street hosts a private server. He let me play Rust on his gf steam account to try it out.

The graphics, i played it on ultra, just breathtaking. He gave me admin powers to just spawn whatever i needed so i build without restrictions. Man, just lighting a torch on a wooden wall, so cool. The electricity part is interesting and easy to learn. Just a torch and a stone, trying to survive, eating berries and mushrooms, lucky to find a pumpkin.

Now i am drawn to some game where i can build, i did space engineers creative mode solo. Just me and my imagination. Sometimes intens, but enough periods of hardly working on a project.

I played over 12 hours of Rust everyday in the first week. When i came online on his server he and a friend of him where allready there. After a week i left his server to try a server with lots of people on it. To get to know the gameplay. 245 hours in the last 2 weeks according to my Steam stats.

I had a nice big farm base going on, lvl3 workbench, worked hard yes.

There are so many thing that need to be done, urgently. Now i joined a server without decay killing or raiding, pure PvE. So my build could not be destroyed. The guy i played with also had 240 plus hours in 2 weeks.

This kind of gaming is not for me, once i start i can't stop anymore, those barrels and crates are like opening presents. a little kick everytime. And they are a big part if not the central part of the game

Some have 20k hours in Rust, no one had that in Space Engineers im sure. Hell you can learn to play guitar in 300 hours, get a real education with 4000. I wised up to it, who would pay 13 dollar to make an allready cool looking stone wall look "even better" other than an addict?

This game is one BIG dopamine rush. So i opened my base, broadcasted my door codes, logged off and deleted Rust from my computer. This game is too addictive for my tastes,

Rust is a drug that takes your life without killing you.

Cities Skylines is fantastic. Takes a lot of time to learn and can be very difficult in later population densities if you don't plan ahead. It's like Simcity on steroids.
