A man is walking in the woods when he finds a suitcase.

He opens the suitcase and inside are three foxes. So he calls emergency services and says

"I just found three foxes in a suitcase. What should I do?"

"Well," the operator said, "Are they moving?"

"I don't know," he said, "But that would explain the suitcase."

I just ran this through ChatGPT for kicks to see if it understands it (spoiler: it doesn't):

Q: Explain this joke: (joke from above)

A: The joke plays on the expectation that the suitcase is being used as an unusual way to transport the foxes, implying some odd or humorous scenario. When the man reports finding three foxes in a suitcase and is asked if they are moving, the punchline comes from the man’s realization that the suitcase itself might be moving because the foxes are causing it to move. The humor is in the absurdity of the situation—the idea that the suitcase is moving because the foxes inside are active or causing a commotion, leading to the funny conclusion that the suitcase "explains" why it’s moving.
