This was happening already alongside superstraight. They had their own subs and I believe they got banned first. I think the fact that the gays and lesbians were also participating was the main contributer of the swift banning, it was causing too much in-group division for them and waking people up way faster than if it had been only straight people.

Life was so much easier when people either liked pussy or dick and way easier before there were so many people that they had time to insist their surgical wounds were genitals.

A good friend of mine from high school is gay and he said a few years ago that he was annoyed that, as a gay man, he was expected to go fight for trans rights. He pointed out that he had nothing in common with them; he was a man, interested in men, without any question of anyone's gender identity. Gay people by definition are very much into the traditional binary XX and XY paradigm.

That sentiment is already strong with a lot of gay people. Whether they yell about it and get called TERFs, or just mourn quietly to themselves for fear of reprimand, I would wager that most of them are peeved that their "movement" got a "T" tacked on to the end of it. Because really, when you think about it, why do they lump them together? It's basically just the freak alphabet soup at this point...LGBTTIQQ2SA. Pretty insulting to a relatively normal gay person (the Richard Grenells of the world) to be lumped in with dudes cutting off their dicks and people claiming to be unicorns who are only attracted to leprechauns, etc
