There is no way one person is doing this, and there is no way the site is able to fund itself, and the lives of all the people involved in monitoring it, full time, simply through donations alone. I once made a post asking how the site was funded. The numbers don't add up to anything close to enough to fund the site, and there certainly are not enough users who care enough to cough up donations to fill in the blanks. AOU's response to my post was typically unexplanatory, and the response I received from other users, was typically degenerate and retarded:
