You can absolutely get a red envelope. The trick is to royally piss someone off, and if you manage to pull that off, your white envelope will instantly turn red. It's like magic!

What? The envelope has been working correctly for a few weeks now. It goes red when you have messages and white when you don’t. Empty your browser cache! That usually works.

What we REALLY need is text formatting to start working again. It’s a bitch to have bold/italic/quoting not be distinctive.
