Sorry to break it to you but visible abs -- I assume that's what you're referring to -- are a genetic thing. Everyone can strengthen their abdominal muscles, of course, but not everyone can get a 6-pack.
But you're not going to strengthen them without doing work. Sit-ups are not actually very useful; there are better exercises. You tube has lots of vids for each muscle group.
