My sisters dogs howl and "sing" along with babies crying, and even each other, once you set one dog up howling, the other joins in.

In the sierra mountains, to scare buddies, I show them the presence of other coyotes by satying to friends :
"do you want to hear the wolves? they are all around us. they will come to us if we howl out to them. Here... watch... OWWWOOOOOOOOOO!"... then after a decent delay... from one or more distances coyotes howl back and yip and howl.

You can even make wildlife howl!
