4chan is extremely superstitious of numbers. But, in their case, they’re usually right. X numbers in a row, certain sequences, etc. I was a normie who only got red pilled because fph got banned by Reddit. So I went to voat in 2016 ish.

Each post on the chan(s) has a unique number. This post's number is 327777777. Numbers are assigned sequentially, as you can see in the numbers responding to the OP's comment about the vaccine guinea pigs. Because so many people are using the chan at the same and posting constantly, it's extremely rare to get a specific set of numbers on any particular post (i believe some numbers are even skipped for whatever random quirk hardware/software reason). Extremely large repeating numbers are even harder to get. This has led to matching sets of numbers (usually any repeats of the same number---- eg: 444, 6666, 88888, 999999999) to be 'lucky' or 'rare', and is treated like a dice rolling game.

So the game is that if someone makes a thread saying 'quads (or trips, quints, etc) determines which kitchen appliance i stick my penis in'--- the thread turns into a game where people make posts in the thread telling OP what to do (and if their post has quads (four) repeating numbers--- like'your penis goes in the toaster' and their post number is like 84694444. That means their 'roll' wins and the OP now has to stick his penis in the toaster and post pics to honor the game. "Combos" are also valid like 444333222111, etc.

The flip side of the game is that any post with lots of repeating numbers, eg: 327777777 (7 repeats of the number 7) can be considered 'prophetic' because of how ridiculously rare (statistically) it is to get that kind of number. So if I make a post saying 'california falls into the ocean tomorrow' and my post number is like 1666666666-- I have a statistically rare 'roll' so the joke is that whatever I said will become true. So whenever people 'roll' a rare number like 327777777, tons of other people will respond to that post with their reaction to the new 'prophecy'.

Xantha gave a good explanation. The repeating post number is not treated as merely prophetic but more as if the universe verified something that can be about the past, present, or future.

The above post number ends in seven sevens which is damn near impossible. Higher the identical number combo the more irrefutable it is.

It has extra weight because its 7 7s. Sevens are lucky and repeating six is evil so this is not really following the made up lesser rules.
