I never saw "Sector 9", but I heard about it when it came out. From what I understand, it was influenced by director Blomkamp's growing up under apartheid, and apparently he was drawing a parallel between the "prawns" and SA blacks. That made no sense to me then, even though I wasn't quite enlightened on the Negro Question. How could anyone advocate for power sharing with a bunch of subhumans?
