Are they not largely self funding? They just want the men to forego some of the revenues they raise to subsidise the women, cos reasons.

Pretty sure every country has grants to support national sports teams. And certainly in college sports earnings are diverted from male teams to female ones. Either way, they're entertainers. If their audience doesn't value them they should take a pay cut or find a new job.

Do they? I know we do but the soccer set up is beyond atrocious in Ireland. Do the likes of the English, French, Spanish, German etc. FA’s get state grants? Surely those organisations are more than self sufficient, with at most their national leagues having to contribute towards the national team. I may very well be wrong, but I shouldn’t be!

And absolutely on the entertainers point. The audience is a genius - their judgement can always be trusted.

Took me a while to find it, but yes. The funding isn't mentioned on wikipedia or any of the other cross sections I could find, but I did find news articles referring to it:

In the case of the FA they own the national league and national team, so they get all the revenue from organising it and marketing associated IP. They also get millions in government grants, which acts as a mechanism of control.

They do indeed suck. I don't like sports very much, but when I watch, I watch it for the masculine athleticism, which is very different. Men can conquer and control the space around them in ways women simply can't and never will because they're made differently, even a different center of gravity. Men can't stop that conquering, and I'm really grateful for it. I'd be more grateful if they were more proud of that natural ability in their day to day. not athletic lives.

I enjoy watching Womens' volleyball and softball. They are easier on the eyes.
