Is TF2 a good game? - Upgoat - "where a goat can be a goat"

TF2 has a lot going for it design wise,but in the end,most modern FPS games fall into one of 2 catagories. Fun games and working games.

Fun games have great characters,cool weapons and abilities,and great looking levels. They also have shitty hit detection,netcode that's designed to favor high ping players,and nothing is balanced in any way.

Working games have great hit detection,excellent netcode,and tries to balance abilities and weapons. They're also boring as shit with terrible stories,forgettable characters,and boring ass weapons and abilities that have been done a thousand times.

Once upon a time,you had games like Unreal Tournament that was fun AND worked properly. These days,you have to pick one. And most people go with working games. Which is why COD is popular. It's boring as shit but it works so when you legit snipe some faggot on the other side of the map,you know you earned it. When you get killed,you know it was your own stupid decisions that led to that,not emptying a shotgun into someone right in front of you and getting face stabbed to death.

So is TF2 a good game? No,not really. It's got some great design elements and all,but it's technical limitations are always going to hold it back and make playing the game frustrating. Still,on the other hand,it's free to play and understanding what makes TF2 suck will also show you why Overwatch sucks,so you don't have to play that game either.

So in conclusion,you're better off just enjoying the memes and not bothering to play these busted ass games.

With original Team Fortress I enjoyed playing that for awhile, but it could get frustrating at times for some reason. With the new one, everything is just SO SILLY that dying over and over is hilarious rather than rage inducing. Idunno, maybe it's just me and my drunken play style - but TF2 makes me laugh until it hurts. Well, it did the couple times I played it.

Emptying a minigun into a scout for no damage because his feet weren't on the ground when you shot him gets really old really fast.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on cod being a working game, fren. When the game went peer to peer with modern warfare 2 it went to complete shit. You'd have tons of bullshit cases where players who managed to run to cover die anyway because the host advantage, which was evident in the kill cams. Not to mention the rampant cheating (lag switches on consoles, hacks on PC). I'm not sure if they've gone back to servers though as I haven't really paid much attention to the franchise.

They have some but the ones I played the game was mostly spot on. Still,if they did that shit,it means they suck now too. Oh,well.
