This is one of the paramount signs of sociopathy. Giving unwanted gifts and then pressuring them for an exchange of favors. Even worse is when they force you to rely on their "gift" (i.e. I will allow you to live here but you can't get a job. Forcing them to either choose homelessness or be completely reliant on them to survive.) to coerce a relationship. This is really obvious when looking at man/woman relationships because everyone is familiar with the dynamics. But the reality is that this sociopathy exists on every level of society.

I mean, our own government works for us all, for free. Don't you think we owe them a little favor? (This is how the sickness works)
