Given the situation, what do you think their intentions were for the weapons? I remember a story where you spoke somewhat favorably of a Cape Colored and am not clear where they fit into relations with other races in the region.

To the best of my knowledge Madagascar used to be in South East asia and with continental movements it drifted all the way to the African coast. So the oldest inhabitants of the region come from these people. They have more asian than nigger blood but now of course there has been a lot of mixing. In South Africa they call them coloured and they use to be nomadic tribes when the Europeans arrived.

The Bantu niggers came later after the Europeans tamed the land.

Are there any good documentaries about all this from a white South Africans perspective? Like something thorough that doesn’t just focus on a particular conflict or political movement?
I see these montages of white soldiers from some conflicts down there and always wonder where all these guys are today, and that there must have been some good docu’s on them.

Madagascar hasn't drifted in any meaningful manner since man came into being. The people who settled it were sea faring Asians. Africans never built boats or discovered Madagascar, despite it being way closer to them. The little channel kept Africans out of Madagascar, an ocean didn't prevent Asians from finding it and settling there since no human was using it.
