All of these escapes, including the "forward" one they encourage, have one thing in common:
They leave the problem itself for someone else to deal with.
Which isn't to say that's not the smart thing to do; particularly when you're not the one who created the problem to begin with. But we should not delude ourselves into thinking any of them are in any way a solution to tyranny. They are merely ways of coping with it.

In the video he does say that civil disobedience is one of the essential elements in confronting the tyranny, and that it has the best means of keeping totalitarians in check. Finding people willing to do it and risking everything in the process is more difficult, especially today.
The title does say Escape not Confront. I think a certain amount of each will be needed. Your confrontation will likely be short lived w/o some place or way to escape at times.
