I remember when documentaries and factual, informative TV shows weren't artificially dramatized with music, sound effects, fabricated conflict. They were actually worth watching. These days, it's so overly stylized and overproduced that they social engineering and opinion influencing methods are incredibly obvious.

It's the emotions they want and need. That's their entire thing. The face of new reporters is all emotional signalling. The anchors are the absolute worst. Waking up your ding bat mom gets a start by making her aware of those facial expressions that have absolutely no business being in the news. She's absorbing those emotions.

Absolutely true. I'm old enough to remember watching TV news in the 60s and 70s. The presentation was completely different. There was usually one news reader, who just read the damn news in an impartial manner. The sports guy wasn't "wacky" and just discussed sports, and there was rarely a weather girl, and when there was, she didn't dress like a slut. There were very few graphics, and TV news didn't use music until the 70s. That all changed in the 80s, especially with the rise of CNN.

Remember the movie "Broadcast News"? It's worth a watch, or a re-watch if you've seen it before. Everything we despise about the production of TV news is parodied there: The manufactured drama, the false intensity of emotion, the cult of personality, and fraudulent reporting. This is one of my favorite scenes.

To be edgy. I've seen this video. It's been posted on here before except in this version they cut out the end saying "this is infowars". Yep, it's infowars. They do make some okay videos from time to time, but their organization is just a gatekeeping operation.

infowars is a brand. Brand recognition is more then just looking at the logo. They inject sound, use specific color palettes, fonts, etc. Really, it's about making you recognize who created what at any given point.

Honestly, as I could recognize who was talking and the background music is fairly well their own, I knew it was infowars early on. This is kind of the point. So, they did well with their branding. And, you may be annoyed with it as you may actually have a problem with infowars themselves. I do.

But, then again I also have an issue with inserted background noise. I learned early on that I am fairly well programmed for auditory triggers. Play a death scene and play some violin music I cry like a bitch. Play same scene on mute and I don't give a shit. Play violin music without death scene and I enjoy the music. It requires a level of context, but the music is meant to assist in evoking a specific feeling. In art this is a mastercraft move. In providing information it's a dick Bearnaise move.

I don’t like it either. But when 99% of the world has herd immunity to reality, and is incapable of perceiving a new thought without an emotional anchor attached to it, you’d have to be daft not to understand why they use music for this shit.
