Employees face $100 per-pay-period fine unless their spouses get the vaxx.

A healthcare non-profit in Louisiana sent out a letter to its employees that it's not enough for them to get the vaxx - their spouses have to get it as well or they'll be fined.

This is just getting beyond ridiculous now. Ochsner Health is a healthcare provider/system that delivers healthcare services to the people of Louisiana, Mississippi and the Gulf South. Ochsner Health is now requiring the spouses or domestic partners of all employees be vaccinated, or the employee will pay a $100 per pay period penalty.

Looks like the vaxx employer mandates are heating up.

True, but I'm going to let my 6 year old write it...

the law won't help you against the government but your two-bit employer isn't in the mood to fight a legal battle over you. learn nuance and context you disgusting, low IQ faggot.

As I have never had the Chicken Pox and I am older and if I get it, I could die. EVERYONE NEEDS TO SHOW ME THAT THEY ARE Free from spreading chicken pox.

Same shit. Sounds fucking ridiculous, right?

LOL, next it will be a fine unless you get all your friends vaxxed. It's the clown world version of signup bonuses when you get your friends to join some site.

Good point.

"We'll need to contact trace logs from your ~personal surveillance device~ phone in order to ensure you haven't been exposed"

notice that those apps FAILED. there is plenty of grounds for optimism today.

Totally agree on the grounds for optimism.

Anecdotal note: Had previously used iPhones for years. Never had a single iOS update go without approval, except one; the one that included contact tracing. At first it prompted for approval. After months of "no's", it got a forced update from the carrier with zero notification. How's that for some sneaky shit, huh?

apple constantly fucks with the update settings. i honestly think it's a devops thing and not nefarious - imagine having to support all of the idiots who don't update and then call to complain about things not working that were fixed in prior updates.

I can buy that, generally speaking. I remember seeing infograms describing how uniform the iOS landscape was compared to the relatively fragmented Android ecosystem.

Only thing that was weird about this was that, as I'd mentioned earlier, the update that included the contract tracing updates to the health app was the only one that went like that.

Driving a wedge between husband and wife. Same as they've always done.

Don’t have health insurance and you’re no longer participating.
