It's basically as good as before. The difference is just a warning message. The SSL that handles end to end encryption is working exactly as before, except it was programmed to show you a warning if his private key for it hasn't changed in the last 90 days (expired).

Nothing bad happens at the 90 day mark verses the 89 day mark.

Chances are you would have been willing to use it with http instead of https, which is ironic because an http site won't give you such a warning but the expired https site is 1000x more secure.

No errors on XP Pro, but catbox is hit or miss on Voat. Works just fine on Poal, so the problem is not specific to XP or the browsers I use.

If you route a website through cloudflare you don't even need to have letsencrypt or whatever. Cloudflare will give you one and renew it perpetually.
