In n out is an excellent company of over 200 stores. They are family owned and care about their product. They refuse to sell out to make more money by going nationwide because they control their own supply chain. And their burgers are amazing.

They care about their workers, they pay them well and offer great benefits, they source all of their food and meat from local farmers. Bill Millers in Texas is similar. They haven't gone national because as far as I know they want to stay family owned/operated.

Also, I know everyone gets huffy when the subject of BBQ comes up, but honestly I think their BBQ is pretty good considering the restaurant is what it is, and the prices.
