I can totally relate to what you're saying.

Many years ago, I had a GF with a gay uncle. I had a fairly liberal upbringing (if you could go so far as to call it that) and he was a nice enough guy, so it didn't bother me.

Fast-forward to faggot boyfriend entering the picture. Young guy. Sort of spergy. A lot like the Terry character on Reno 911, only less overtly faggy.

Evidently, he'd been in some car accident that fucked his brain up or something. He was a little slow and otherwise seemed harmless enough.

Anyway, I always kind of got this vibe off of him, like he wasn't seriously interested in me or anything and that I was like some kind of a nut for him to crack. He wasn't always subtle about it either.

One time we were over at the uncle's house and "Terry" wanted to show us something on the TV. He turns it on and, "Oops!", hardcore gay porn, which he had totally staged to be there right in the middle of a sodomy scene. He turns it off and then *immediately turns to me to see my reaction.

He was visibly* disappointed that it didn't phase me in the slightest (2 dudes kissing, on the other hand... even as tolerant as I was back then, the sight of that made me retch).

I probably haven't thought of that for at least 20 years and, knowing what I do now, it makes total sense.
