Done properly, it is very good, fully cooked, juicy delicious. Additionally it takes a fraction of the time. The PROBLEM is, people try to put an ICECUBE of a turkey into boiling oil. That's the reaction. But, if you know how to cook, I endorse this method. It is delicious.

If you don't have a fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink, use something to smother it, like a large pan lid. As a kid I was taught to use baking soda for smaller fires in large pans. But a fire extinguisher is your best bet in any circumstance. Not expensive, and it might save your life.

What you said is wrong. There is no electrolysis in a fire to split the hydrogen and oxygen to provide oxygen for the fire as you claim. What really happens is that the water flashed to steam. I happens in an explosive fashion which causes the burning oil to be entrained with the steam and spread the fire. That’s why you don’t use water. ‘Mic drop.
